Meet the attorney

Lisa Miller founded the Law Office of Lisa S. Miller in 2011.  Lisa's practice focuses on providing quality legal services to corporate clients on transactional matters and general corporate maintenance including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, corporate and non-profit governance, and contract negotiations.  

Lisa started her career with Jackson Walker L.L.P. where she practiced in the Corporate & Securities and Health Care Sections.  While she was with Jackson Walker, Lisa represented clients in a broad range of matters, including mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and financing along a broad spectrum of industries including health care, oil and gas, banking, and family offices.

Lisa built a strong legal foundation while at Jackson Walker, but ultimately decided the lifestyle offered by a big firm was not the right fit.  She founded the Law Office of Lisa S. Miller and has enjoyed the entrepreneurial aspect of being a lawyer and a business owner and the close client relationships she has been able to build along with her practice. It has been a privilege to walk alongside business leaders and entrepreneurs as a partner in their goals. 

Lisa received her B.S. from Texas Christian University, Magna Cum Laude, and her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, with honors.  She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. Lisa is a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow and an active volunteer in the community. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons and you’ll catch her in the Texas hill country any time she can get away.

Lisa S. Miller Honored by Texas Bar Foundation

Ms. Lisa S. Miller with Law Office of Lisa S. Miller, PLLC has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. Fellows of the Foundation are selected for their outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout the State of Texas. Election is a mark of distinction and recognition of Ms. Miller’s contributions to the legal profession.

Selection as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation is restricted to members of the State Bar of Texas. Each year one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows. Once nominees are selected, they must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. Membership has grown from an initial 255 Charter Members in 1965 to more than 10,000 Fellows throughout Texas today.

The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the country. Founded in 1965 by lawyers determined to assist the public and improve the profession of law, the Texas Bar Foundation has maintained its mission of using the financial contributions of its membership to build a strong justice system for all Texans. To date, the Texas Bar Foundation has distributed more than $28 million throughout Texas to assist nonprofit organizations with a wide range of justice-related programs and services.
